A friend of mine growing up asked this question on Facebook...

Help.... So David took down Goliath and Saul got Jealous.

1 Sam 18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.

Does God dispatch evil spirits?

Here was my answer.

Just food for thought... If you are a true believer in Jesus Christ, and claim to be saved, then you should always be in a state of worship to God in all you do, say, and feel. If we are Christians’ and act like the devil, then why would God want to live in us? So I could understand why He would remove Himself from someone that is saved and let an evil being in. This is not to say that you will not enter the kingdom of Heaven once you die (that's if you were truly saved), you just won’t have the full blessing of God and the full riches of His glory in heaven. God promised us that once saved we will enter the kingdom of heaven. He will not and cannot break His promises, but He can withhold His blessing to those who don't truly follow Him.
Added note (not what I posted)...
This is not to say that God has evil spirits by His side waiting like hounds to be released. It's just once God leaves you and it opens a door for those evil spirits to enter in.

What are your thoughts on this? Am I close or way off?
